Symptom Chart – December 2008

12_december

December was pretty poor. I started off on the 1st feeling better than I can remember feeling for a long time, but it all quickly went down hill after that. I had a couple of weird days where things flared for no reason. Then, on the 16th I had a minor, non Lyme related health crisis that put me off everything for about 10 days. It was a very stressful time and I generally felt like shit emotionally. This translated into feeling like shit physically.

The numbers tell the same story. Most things are up over November's numbers — brain fog and fatigue markedly so. However, I attribute the fatigue numbers to an increase on exercise activity. I joined a gym and started running more and doing some strength training.

Hi! have you started IV yet?
One thing I noticed about your protocol was that you were doing 1 tsp Mepron 2x day. I’ve heard people are having good luck with going to a higher dose. Kill those critters!
I also love LymeMD’s blog and have had it with LymeNet as well.

    Catherine,
    Thanks for your comment.
I had heard that too about Mepron. I’d read that people were having great success on 2tbs. 2x a day. I asked my LLMD about it and he said that 1tbs. was his “standard dosage”. I wonder because I initially felt that the Mepron might have been doing something, but long term it never really got me anywhere.
No, I have not started the IV yet. I’m currently navigating the dark maze of insurance company bullshit. Perhaps in February.

Hi — Can you tell me if you are using some sort of specialized software to track your symptoms, or are you just doing it in Excel and then generating the graphs? At any rate, I’d like to get my hands on that! Thanks.

    Kim,
I use Adobe Illustrator to make the charts. I work as a Graphic Designer and created the template in that application.
I’m working with my LLMD to potentially create an online version that could be used by patients. I’ll post about it if/when it happens.
